Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the development process of eco-focused fabrics, from sourcing sustainable materials to final product.

• Tailor fabric development to align with customer brand values and eco-vision, creating suitable sustainable fabrics for each season.

• Implement innovative sustainable fabric development techniques and materials.

• Negotiate with vendors across Asia and Europe, fostering strong relationships and understanding their production capabilities.

• Partner with leading yarn factories and suppliers to innovate and launch new textiles and colours each season.

• Manage the timeline from initial concept to pre-production, ensuring quality and cost targets are met. Address any development challenges proactively.

• Utilise expert knowledge in eco fabric types, collaborating with Product Engineering for fabric testing.

• Facilitate production meetings with vendors, ensuring technical requirements for prototypes are clearly communicated.

• Maintain development timelines with precision, actively solving problems to streamline the fabric development process.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

​

• Expertise in yarn production, garment and fabric construction, pattern cutting, denim washes, printing, and embroidery.

• Strong technical knowledge in fabric and product development.

• Preference for candidates with experience working with Japanese and Chinese yarn factories, demonstrating on-site operational knowledge.

• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with a track record of effective collaboration with logistics partners.

• In-depth understanding of fashion trends, market dynamics, and luxury consumer preferences.
